Perfect fit, but orange peel look. July 31, 2010

Easy to apply if you follow the instructions to the letter. After nearly 24 hours I still have the "orange peel" texture on the film. It is not as smooth as what I experienced on my old iPhone when I applied a film from a different brand. But it seems the orange peel texture is less pronounced than it was this morning. The instructions say not to use the phone for 12 to 24 hours after applying the film. That is not practical. Hopefully the film will smooth out a little more by tomorrow.
The pattern fits the Droid screen perfectly. So it is really important to spray both sides of the film before applying and also keeping your finger tips wet. Do not spray directly on the phone - even if it is turn off completely.
In my case I had kept the original temporary film that came with the Droid. So cleaning the screen was minimal.

I am tough on screen protectors going through verizon's OEM versions in a few weeks and even scratching the wonderful full screen protectors sold by Seidio. I was reluctant to try this product because I had tried and failed to properly install the Zagg product not once but twice. But Skinomi was less expensive than Zagg and came with an application spray bottle unlike the useless sponge provided by Zagg. Well installation was simple, easy and resulted in a perfect application. I love the feel of the surface, there are zero residual bubbles and the surface seems to resist smudges much better than any other screen protector I have used. I give this product 5 stars.

I ordered this because I wanted to protect the screen on my new droid phone. I heard later from Verizon dealers that the original screen was made to be scratch resistant already and that this device really doesn't offer more help other than a barrier between the original glass. Oh well. It was relatively easy to apply (keep your fingers wet) and it did get better after a few days too. I didn't have any problem removing air bubbles during the application and I used the tool that came with the packaging to do it. Its been a few weeks now and I'm used to the different feel of the cover (little rubbery, but no big deal). You forget it ever felt differently. The skin is not flawless though, there are imperfections all over it when you look at it in different light but I barely notice it when I'm using the phone or dialing or watching video, etc. Yeah, its not perfect, but still pretty good. I may choose to remove the cover someday and probably won't get another one based on hearing the glass it pretty resistant. I also have a Seido Innocase cover on it, so that protects the device as well from some things.

Had my skin for about a year. Well it started to peel off in the corners--- probably due to me not installing it correctly or something... I have to say that the lifetime warranty is being upheld. You do have to pay some shipping charges though.
Overall I am happy with the product... So happy that I have ordered a skin kit for my new Droid X... They also stated on the phone that they had some carbin fiber skins coming available soon.
