Previous to this case I had a Body Glove case that they stock at the Verizon store. That was a good case but it was very hard to get out of your pocket. The Body Glove case also started to wear out after a while. I decided to purchased the Otter Box and it is great. Easy to pull out of your pocket but still has a grippy surface that is easy to hold. It also has little plugs that fit into all the ports to keep out dust. I did drop it once the case popped off but every thing slid right back together good as new. I really like this case.

I bought this product because I wanted to protect the open ports from the sand at the beach. I have had the product for almost two months and it worked well despite being bulky. Sadly, the top plastic piece that surrounds the screen cracked at the stress point of the upper left corner. I am not happy with the grade of plastic used to construct said piece.

The lack of anything resembling functionality in the Droid case market is why this thing gets high ratings. In a sea of worthless cases the Otterbox is functional and does what almost no other case on the market does -- it fits. Snugly. The rubber buttons are great but the screen protector does nothing and did not stick to my screen well at all... I threw mine away. The droid also won't fit in the dock with this case on, another price to pay. But despite the fact the Otterbox is made out of very thin, very cheap plastic, that is still an extra layer of protection if it gets drop kicked, and it feels much better in your hand with it on. The weight feels better distributed and you have a much better grip on it. Recommended only because there are no reasonable alternatives.

I installed this on my Droid 1 about two weeks ago. Looked and worked great. I was sitting at my desk yesterday with my phone next to my laptop and "ping!" the front snapped at the top right corner and the top cover flew across my desk. I guess the corners are too flimsy. Wish I had read more reviews before buying one. I guess I'm going to have to get the Seido. The back is great, but the front is a big thumbs down. AV1611 out....

Bought this case based on its good reviews...I work at the airport on the ramp, so I need a durable phone case. Back part of the case was great, but bulky. Within one week, the corner broke on the front panel, making the case worthless.
